Iron Man™ Plus Workstation Monitor

Protect your circuit boards from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical overstress (EOS)




The SCS Iron Man™ Plus Monitor provides full coverage to an ESD protective workstation and meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 in accordance with ESD TR12-01. Like most monitors, it continuously monitors the resistance of an operator and worksurface mat. However, the Iron Man™ Plus also monitors operator body voltage and detects Electrical Overstress, or EOS, on a circuit board.

The Iron Man™ Plus Monitor will alarm if overvoltage from a tool such as a soldering iron or electric screwdriver is applied to the circuit board’s ground plane. The overvoltage alarm threshold can be adjusted from 0 to ±5V.
